Get your woolly mittens out, dust of your sledges and find your favourite hot chocolate mug because in the words of Slade, “It’s Chriiiistmaaas!” It’s the most wonderful time of the year so why not share the joy with those around you and head to one of the many Christmas events happening up and down the UK this year.
Aside from independent events, there are a whole host of amazing Christmas events going on at Britannia Hotels throughout the whole of December. From festive afternoon tea to lunch with Santa and a great sing along with Christmas princesses, there is something for everyone this season. The Christmas Experience
Enjoy all the brilliant elements that come with the festive season over at The Christmas Experience. Here you can visit Santa himself, make some amazing crafts in the Elf Village or make new friends on the Christmas Traditions Woodland Walk. You can also explore the Hall and gardens, kitted out in Christmas lights and designs and take in the thrilling views.
During this time, there are also local Christmas markets in the surrounding area, so be sure to warm yourself up with a yummy hot chocolate or some mulled wine.

Warwick Castle
As Christmas dawns, Warwick Castle transforms into the ultimate winter wonderland with attractions for everyone. Families can meet with Santa and listen to him tell a story of “festive hope and joy”, couples can hold each other up on the spectacular open-air ice rink and everyone is welcome to explore the Christmas markets, getting some festive food on their way.
There is also a stunning light trail throughout the grounds of the castle once night falls. This is a great alternative event to visit this winter and experience something that you have never experienced before.

Chessington World of Adventures
If you are looking for the perfect family Christmas day-out, then get down to Chessington World of Adventures. Here you can meet with Father Christmas in his gorgeous log fire grotto, help out in the toy workshop, enjoy festive entertainment shows and take a stroll through Enchanted Hallow as its residents prepare for the big day.
There is fun for people of all ages here, so no one, from Granny to the new born will miss out! All of the usual areas of the park are also still open to the public during the festive period. So, why not meet Santa one day and ride the river rapids on the next?

We wait all year on tenterhooks for the announcement of the Christmas markets and that time is now! All across the UK, there are exciting and cozy Christmas markets lining the streets, just waiting for you to come and join in the fun. Where else can you get a homemade necklace, Yorkshire pudding wrap and a hot chocolate all on one street?
