Spring is in full swing, and Summer is right on our heels! There are a handful of school holidays and long weekend in May which are the perfect time to embark on a fun family outing. Instead of going to the local playground again, why not enjoy a sight or experience you never have before. Take this time to make some memories you will never forget!
Family Fun Day in Sunderland
There are hundreds of family fun events occurring across the UK this May and one of them is happening in Silksworth, Sunderland. Here the whole family can enjoy a range of amazing activities from bouncing on bouncy castles to riding a mechanical bull, becoming a beautiful butterfly or terrifying tiger with some face paint and even joining in with a character meet and greet.
The event is free, so be sure to come along and join in with the fun. There will also be a free dinosaur show during the afternoon! What more could you ask for?

World Turtle Day
Seeing some exciting animals is a great way to spend some quality time together as a family. There are a range of aquariums and zoos across the UK all full with interesting animals!

This day was founded in 2000, sponsored annually by American Tortoise Rescue and aims to help protect and preserve turtles and tortoises as their habitats are rapidly disappearing.
